Really beautiful hotel in a great area. Our room was quiet and spacious, and the bed was really comfortable. High ceilings, discrete decor and well appointed bathroom. The car park was a public one, about 200 meters away from the hotel, but was reasonably priced and very secure.

We really liked this hotel. Location was pretty central and there is a public car park very close by. All the staff were very lovely. Breakfast was good. We were given a room upgrade to one with a balcony, which was great. The walk to the seafront wasn't too far. The only suggestion was that it would have been nice for the hotel to have made more use of its courtyard garden (maybe some outdoor lights for the evening). Overall a lovely hotel and we had a very good stay.

The hotel is conveniently located near to the bus terminal so making it ideal for arrival & departure from airport. We loved the central location with everything a short stroll away incl shops, cafes & quay etc. Staff were very welcoming & helpful when needed. Our room was lovely, big, quiet, clean & serviced regularly. Thank you for a lovely stay & we will definitely be booking again for our future visits to La Rochelle

The staff at reception were faultlessly kind and helpful. The building has maintained its history in the public rooms. The bedroom was very clean, a comfortable large bed and fully equipped bathroom. The hotel was located quietly away from the busy shopping streets but within a short walk of Place du Verdun, Le Marche and the old port. Would highly recommend for a stay in beautiful La Rochelle

Pretty good - great location

First time to La Rochelle - had to use a public car park but it's just a street away. Off season so a skeleton staff - friendly and good English- but tiny part-time bar and expensive breakfast we didn't try. Had a nice terrace over looking a garden that was a touch... post apocalyptic- but it was quiet and the room we had all we needed. Lovely spacious building and very nicely located.

Convenient but shabby public areas.

Tired public areas, they were short staffed so bar was closed. Rooms nice and newly decorated. You could see the hotel was nice in its day with some classical features. Very convenient location. Claimed ‘parking available’ but very limited space so we parked in the public car park 2mins walk away which was very good; big spaces.

Hôtel very simple

It is not a 4 stars hotel at all more 3 stars. No frigo in the room, no coffee machine only cheap instant coffee, no robe, very cheap an almost dark towel like a motel. Hotel inside is very nice with a nice garden where you could take a drink. Staff is very nice and help full. Should increase comfort in the room. Very sad a nice hotel like this with so poor amenities.

Loved this hotel, easy to park in the town square underground car park and 2 min walk to the Hotel. Very welcoming staff and beautiful room. Easy walk around the local area with a map provided by the staff, felt very much at ease there.
