Holiday Inn Express Fredericksburg Southpoint by IHG
2/10 Terrible
"The room didn’t have any lights that you could see with. The carpet had bottle caps under the desk. The room was so dark , I’m sure the cleaning staff didn’t see it. The electrical plugs didn’t work and the one on the sad lamp didn’t t work either. I had to unplug the microwave, just to get power. The pool was closed and it should have
Just opened. I will not be staying here again. The cost and the $25.00 added fee was ridiculous and then the refund was 7 to 10 days refund. You took the money right away and it should be refunded the same. I deserve a full refund and you all need to do better, if you want people to stay."
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Doswell (Kings Dominion), VA
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel is Conveniently located across the street from Kings Dominion. We drove 3 1/2 hours to go to amusement park and after a long day needed to rest. We drove literally out of the park lot across street to this hotel. The indoor pool added for extra fun for kids. Pool open til11pm and check out at 12 so that helped a lot to. The hotel is clean and served a good breakfast. The beds aren’t the best but everything is clean!"
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Fredericksburg South (I-95), VA
8/10 Good
"This motel is reasonably priced, pet friendly, and conveniently located off I-95. The staff was very nice, and check-in was easy. They serve a very nice hot breakfast. This is the third time that I’ve stayed at this motel, and we’ll probably stay there again on our trips between NY and Florida."
"I had an absolutely fantastic stay this week at Home2 Suites by Hilton Fredericksburg South! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, genuine welcome that set the tone for the entire visit. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect—they were attentive, friendly, and always ready with a smile.
The suite itself was spotless, modern, and incredibly comfortable. I especially appreciated the thoughtful layout, with plenty of space to relax and unwind after a long day. The kitchenette was a huge bonus, making it easy to feel at home even while traveling. Everything felt fresh, well-maintained, and designed with convenience in mind.
One of the highlights for me was how quiet and peaceful the hotel was. I slept wonderfully each night thanks to the cozy bed and calm atmosphere. The common areas were just as impressive—clean, inviting, and well-kept.
Breakfast each morning was a great start to the day, with a nice variety of options and everything well-stocked. It’s clear that the team takes pride in maintaining a high standard across every detail.
Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and will absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the Fredericksburg area. Truly outstanding!"
"Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and serviceable. The property itself is in serious need of renovations however. First room I was given, the key card reader was dead. Got another room, no hassle. The doors on both rooms looked like they were busted down at some point, creaky, and required extra effort to open/close. Walkways are cracked and in disrepair. Heat/AC unit was loud, but worked well. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area and right next to the interstate. Overall, it was a cheap place to crash for the night and I got what I paid for."
"I arrived an hour after check in and my rooms were still not ready, instead of putting us in a king size bed like we reserved they placed us in a double bed room, the room we were given half the electric didn't work on one whole side and that was the side the TV and fridge were on, then gave us another room that was still occupied by someone, then the last room the tube would not stop running. The next morning our key didn't work to open our door. It was a complete wreck. I will never stay there again, plus they advertise they have a pool but it's not even open. Not worth the $300 I spent. Will not recommend to anyone."
