It would be great if the room just had a closet to store your clothes away. We had to use the couch to leave our lugage and clothes.

The location is very unique and lovely. Also liked the fact you could go down to the ocean for a swim and is also on the route of an official PRC Hike on Pico. The Casa do Ze is very well equipped with all utensils and essentials for cooking your own meals. The coffee maker is a moka pot, (first time using one) that makes great espresso. This place is superb for a great relaxing holiday. If you want discos and nightlife like that then don’t bother. This place is lovely and tranquil and great for getting away from it all, the views are beautiful and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
The two attractions within walking distance at Calheta are the sugar mill and the Museum of Contemporary Art. I visited both but obviously they won't be of interest to everyone.
