"Great stay! Breakfast was delicious and had so many options. Staff was very kind, room was clean and spacious. Great location, easy to drive around town, or head out to explore; 8 minutes from Hallgrimskirkja. Has free parking in front of hotel, spots are few and a bit tight but i had no issues. Quick market walkable behind the hotel if you want to grab snacks. "

"Loved this hotel. Located just a short drive (or Uber) outside of the city, it's a nice, clean, fairly modern space. Staff could not have been nicer or friendlier, breakfast - which was included for us - was great and plenty. Parking is key, and convenient for us to get out to sightsee and explore the city, but also for a quick getaway to the airport early in the morning. Spa amenities are lovely, and overall the stay was excellent. We didn't eat at Hekla, but right downstairs and has good ratings. Food looked good as we were going by, and customers seemed to be enjoying it. "

"The shared area was lovely. The fridge was a little full, but apart from that, everything else was great. The hot tub is a must! The reception team were also very kind and helpful."

"Room was perfect as long as you dont expect to sleep! The noise from the ventilation was so loud! I was emailing till 4am trying to get it fixed and i was so angry and frustrated i demanded a new hotel. They didn't fix the ventilation, all they did was offer me another room.... which is also connected to the noisy ventilation system. I asked for refund for my remaining days so i could pay for a new hotel but they refused. AWFUL AWFUL experience. Avoid at all costs!"

"Nicely decorated. No luggage space or drawers to put your clothes though. Good Nespresso machine (including coffee pods) but a little short on pots/pans (1 each). Can be noisy at times from neighbours next door or upstairs. Good laundry facilities (including soap). Close to good cafe and supermarket. Too far away to walk for downtown Reykjavik. There is a public busstop nearby. We had lots of snow/ice so walking was difficult. Busstop to pick up for excursions was about 15-20min walk. "

"The hotel itself was very nice and cozy, the rooms were clean and comfortable. However, the “free parking” is misleading. It is actually street parking nearby, most of which is paid, some of it is free. However it is not clearly marked, some of it is a couple of blocks away, and most of it is full. We came after a long red eye flight and long day with no sleep and had to circle the block for 20 minutes to find parking until we decided to risk it at an unmarked spot. Thankfully it was safe parking and our rental car was still there. I would warn anyone who is booking this location for the “free parking” that it’s not on the premises. "
