"The room was clean. The staff was courteous. Breakfast was great. Check out was easy. Parking was limited. The lot was full, otherwise it was a great stay"
"We enjoyed our stay. Jared and Melinda are excellent hosts and made us feel welcome. The house is beautifully built and well appointed. The original architectural details are mostly still intact on the inside of the house. It is also full of interesting artifacts and historical pieces from the original owner. The breakfast is basic fare, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee and juice. Our room, the Decker Room, was spacious and a nicely decorated. The mattress and linen could use updating and it would be nice to have another chair in the room as there was just one desk chair to sit in. Good to be aware that rooms facing the street are exposed to traffic noise, a lot truck traffic. We would stay there again. I think the owner has only owned the place a couple of years, so it will improve with each passing year. He is off to a great start."
"The hotel was being renovated and I was never informed when booking or during numerous reminder emails. Even in the important info section in email, there was no mention of it. Breakfast was limited and not as expected. I specifically booked a king room for my husband and I and we had 2 queen beds."
"The staff was terrific. They really extended themselves for us. The main problem was that the rooms were terribly dark and some of the much needed lightbulbs did not work and they had to order replacements (specialty bulbs). You could not really read in the room. It made for a very uncomfortable stay. The breakfast was good and the beds comfortable. If you like a nice, bright hotel room, this is probably not the place for you."
"The hotel is amazing!! The room was spotless!! The amenities in the hotel were great!! We were greeted with a plate full of cookies and coffee station which was available 24*7!!
The pool was clean and fun!! The hot tub was relaxing!!
The breakfast was hot and perfect!!
The reception staff was very welcoming and friendly!! Gave us the list of restaurants around so we could have something later in the evening!!"
