"I stayed overnight at the Publick House for my next days visit to Old Sturbridge Village. What a wonderful stay and the restaurant at the inn is fantastic. Make sure to make a reservation for though —It’s worth the effort. I ordered the Jumbo Crab Cake adorned with a lovely house made cole slaw and paired it with a local draft beer. "Worth the price, really nice bedding"

"The best way to describe is tired and worn. While it looks fine it is under the normal level of à la Quinta. Mattress was terrible not a good night of rest. Had a fire alarm at 6am ish and no announcements from staff no one at front desk after fire trucks left. Spend an extra $25 n go somewhere else"

"We were extremely disappointed in the Sturbridge host, the room they put us in was pool side and was very damp and reaked of chlorine. I was given a hard time not once but three times for my service dog. The room had mold on the ceiling, and there were bugs in my dogs food when we got up in the morning. The toilet didn’t work correctly, it had no pressure to flush properly, and the shower had very poor water pressure as well. Overall, I would have to say we will not be staying here ever again....

"Our stay here was terrible. The room didn’t look or feel like it had been thoroughly cleaned. The sink was disgusting with stains and black mildew. We chose a non-smoking room, but the room still had an odor. Also, the bedding had cigarette burns in them. It doesn’t appear that they launder their linens separately, which isn’t good for guests who are sensitive to smoke. "We checked in around 8pm after going to an event. The boiler had exploded at some point that night. There was no heat or hot water. This is a remote location, so at that point in the day we didn't have another option. I realize what happened was out of their control, but they didn't offer anything to help accommodate for this issue, even just a free breakfast would've been fine. We paid full price for a place without heat or hot water. We couldn't shower in the morning before we met family and...
