"The service was incredible. Staff were very friendly and greeted us each and every time we came in and out. The Manager was so amazing and on my birthday she gave me a cake. How thoughtful is that! We will definitely return and stay again. There is no pool but that was not an issue for us in April. Location is wonderful as it was not in the crazy busy downtown area but was close enough to walk everywhere we went. Taxi to downtown was only about 10 euros and a bolt downtown was about 3 or 4 euros. The restaurant food was also incredible. We had a wonderful vacation!! Thank you for the pleasure of a great stay and top notch service 👏👍"

"This hotel is really lovely, the staff are great, the rooms are nice and clean, the rainfall shower was also very much appreciated on a hot day. The reason we booked this hotel is so that we could swim the night before our flight. Unfortunately, the pool is not open until the summer months, which might have been helpful to know, seemingly there is conflicting information on the website. There is a gym on site across from the hotel we stayed in which the staff kindly let me use and this was brilliant, and a nice restaurant selling a basic but tasty menu, good selection of drinks. TV in hotel room also had an excellent selection of channels. Would definitely stay here in future."

"Breakfast, wifi, and access to public transit make Ibis São Joao a great place to stay. The free onsite parking is a bonus. There’s a controlled access gate where you call Ibis reception to let you into the parking lot. The hotel is on the 2nd floor of a shopping mall. The parking is on the 2nd level too along with hotel reception."
