"The location close to the port was important with ferry access but it was nice to be able to walk around the historical port area. The staff spoke English and were very helpful- I had not had lunch and was starving - they graciously made me a snack (it was not free but I was grateful). I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. There are of course things that can be improved, but overall, if you want to go on holidays in Guadeloupe, this is a great place to go. Take my rating of 5 stars as a relative rating compared to other hotels on the island, not to an absolute rating against all hotels all over the world (for that it would probably be more of a 4 stars). Great: -Safe, gated hotel, you won't have to worry about your car at night or about what you leave behind...

Super kind owners! They were very accommodating with the requests that we had and I am very grateful to them for their help. The room itself had the best working AC in all of our trip around Guadeloupe and the swimming pool was really nice. 100% recommend, even if you don't have a car as there is a bus stop nearby and it's a roughly 15 minutes walk to one of the nicest beaches on the island. Merci beaucoup!!

I chose the hotel using reviews from other visitors. We were island hopping and wanted four nights in Guadeloupe. I was not dissapointed. The Mahogany Hotel is part of a much bigger complex of four hotels which are part of the Creole Beach Hotel complex in Gosier. It is situated on the Pointe de la Verdure in Gosier. The hotel was in a beautiful setting and the staff could not have been more helpful. As it is the low season we had the pool and hotel to ourselves some days.
