Fantastic stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Holmedale. Room was welcoming, very large & spacious even with a king size and single bed in the room. We were offered an upgrade at no extra charge due to a cancellation. Breakfast was fantastic. Hosts very friendly and welcoming. Very very good value for money.

Lovely B&B and lovely owner

Helen is a lovely lady who is really friendly and will help with your stay. We had the room on the top floor, I think that this may be the smaller room. It was clean and comfortable. WIFI is pretty much non existent in the top room but you can get it in the dining room (lets face it, you don't go there and expect WIFI) A tea tray is in the room but I had to go and ask for sugar and the milk to be replenished the next day. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and you have a good selection. If we return, we would definitely stay here again but maybe a different room

Lovely weekend trip

The B & B is very inviting, comforting and quaint. The room has everything you need including a kettle & drinks and has a homely look. The owner, Helen, is extremely accommodating and will do anything to improve the stay. She gives you a menu and asks you to fill in a made to order breakfast request the night before. There are also cereals, juice and toast buffet style. There are also beautiful views from the bedroom windows of the village and surrounding Dales. The only negative is that the WiFi doesn’t reach the bedroom.

Easter break

This is our second visit to Holmedale B&B and we were not disappointed. We love the village and the Dales so will definitely be back again in the future. Helen is a very attentive host offering suggestions on things to do in the surrounding area. The breakfast is freshly prepared and the selection is varied for all diets and appetites. We stayed in the Swaledale room on this occasion as the Herriot and St Oswald rooms were already taken. The room is smaller than the others, however it was adequate for our needs. The bed was very comfortable and welcoming after a long day exploring. Looking forward to returning already.

Comfortable, homely, good breakfast, good location

We had a wonderful couple of nights in this B&B. Host was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious, quiet and comfortable. Food was freshly cooked.
