"The staff were excellent , very polite and helpful The room was very large and comfortable . My only criticism was the AC , not able to cool the room although they were kind enough to provide a portable fan The breakfast was very good , the Bakery next door was handy and a few eating places nearby The bus stop is only 1 minute away and a 10 min walk to a swim park where you can swim in the lake or use the outdoor pools for 6 Euro"

"As a full time world traveller staying in many hotels around the world, this has everything! Excellent location, a couple of minutes from harbour and train station in the middle of old town. Stunning rooms with high quality fittings and decor, everything in the right place too, like plug sockets and mirrors. The breakfast was beautifully presented and very tasty. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, it is fabulous. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"Possibly our favorite hotel on this trip. Very clean. It’s an older building that hasn’t had a lot of updates, but our room was spacious with lots of character. No AC, but a fan was provided and the windows could be opened all the way. The floor was carpeted, but new semi-disposable slippers were provided. No hygiene concerns. Bathroom was old and small, but everything worked and it was very clean. Staff very friendly, breakfast good."

The hotel's beautiful location on Lake Constance provides breathtaking views and easy access to Lindau's charming old town. The property perfectly blends historic elegance with modern comfort. The staff was warm, professional, and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully appointed, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options. We also enjoyed the hotel's relaxing atmosphere and outstanding amenities, which made our stay even more special. What truly sets Hotel Bayerischer Hof Lindau apart is its exceptional hospitality and attention to detail. We felt welcomed and valued throughout our visit. "The hotel has a fantastic location right on the lake, and the property itself is certainly unique. However, several practical issues affected our stay. The rooms became very stuffy during the hot summer days, and since there is no air conditioning or fan in the room, it was difficult to cool them down at night. The windows also lack mosquito screens, which makes it hard to leave them open for air circulation. There are not many amenities to speak of, although the breakfast and the restaurant overall are very good and priced accordingly. Overall, while the property has a special charm and a beautiful lakeside setting, we felt that it did not offer particularly good value. We stayed for five days because we had a prepaid arrangement; otherwise, we probably would have moved to a different property. It is a unique place, but for us, three days would have been enough."

"5 min walk to the parking deck and the old town. Clean. However the room was a climb up, and a bit cramped. Bathroom is really small. After hours response was helpful when I couldn't find the key lockbox"
