"The room we had was spacious. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good. We just wished the hot food would be switched to something different every couple of days. Will definitely stay there again."

"I was surprised that the building was more of a motel than an Inn. It was an unusual setup where you enter from the rear on the second floor but check-in is on the first floor. It was rather dark on our side of the building but we were on the northeast side. The building could use an airing out, I found it to be stale and our room had a heavy perfume scent"

"I've stayed in a number of B&Bs in the past. I like the homey atmosphere and delicious breakfasts they usually offer. I chose to stay at a B&B during my visit to Gettysburg expecting the same experience. I was greatly disappointed. Although I knew in advance that check in was self-service, I expected some type of welcome kit upon our arrival, making us feel at home. There was nothing and the information booklet in our room seemed more of a marketing tool for other Brickhouse offerings than informational about the area and things to do. That wasn't a big issue, but it was unexpected. The interior including common areas, bedroom and bath, while neat, clean and comfortable are in desperate need of updating, giving it a shabby feeling. Lastly, I didn't realize that the only breakfast included in our stay was a "take out" table. The breakfast offerings on the table were cheap items purchased in any local grocery store chain. I would have expected something a little more "homey", even for a take-out offering. How about homemade muffins, yogurt parfaits, overnight oats, mini-quiches, fresh fruit salad, etc.? The breakfast at the Hampton Inn we stayed at the night before was hands-down better than the breakfast at Brickhouse. I was very disappointed in my overall experience and wouldn't stay again."

"First, when I go to get keys for the two rooms I booked. I was overcharged for one and that my booking did not include two rooms. The price I was charged for one room was about what my reservation for two rooms was. Our rooms were on two different floors. Not ideal if we were traveling with children. Then she checks and said you have a really good rate. Upon entering the room there was a musty smell. In the bathroom on the first floor room there was mold on celling in the shower. The phone in room did not work. When we went to the front desk to get extra blankets, my wife was told come back in an hour. When she went back they only had one blankets. The room on the second floor was a little better. But had the same smell and mold in the bathroom shower. The floors were not clean. My first and last experience with Motel 6, they will not have to, "LEAVE THE LIGHT ON FOR ME.""

"The room was gross the are roaches a dead bird and blood splatter in and outside of my room. My room wasn’t clean when I got there there was trash everywhere the bed wasn’t made and there was a stain on the bed had to get it cleaned left for 2 hours came back to my bed still having a blood or poop stain on it asked them for a refund and told me that I couldn’t get one took a mattress out of a room that wasn’t cleaned and dragged it on the dirty sidewalk into my room and put the old dirty mattress in the other room for someone else to lay on there was a snake in my room the front desk worker was very rude. Smells like cigarettes and roach poop would NOT recommend."

"Overall staff was not very outgoing, but one did help when our key card stopped working. Room big and clean, would have appreciated more choices for breakfast, and having earlier breakfast hours would be helpful. Quiet place!"
