Perfectly adequate hotel for a short stay, friendly staff and clean rooms which is all you need. If you're looking for an upmarket hotel or somewhere with breakfast I would not recommend it, but as an affordable option in the centre of London I would absolutely recommend it as a place to stay.

Great place to stay in London

The management at the Carlton hotel and the staff have been absolutely outstanding. I recommend them to anyone who’s coming to London. This is a wonderful place to stay. It’s in a great location. You have great people and the train is just across the street. I definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a relatively cheap hotel. It’s right by Kings Cross. The bed was comfortable; the furniture cheap and shoddy.

This property was okay, the staff were friendly, we got into the room there was no air conditioning so the room was like a sauna when we went in and this was the same after from when we returned from going out even though there was a over head fan with the light. Overall I would say it met our needs for the one night we stayed there

Property is very convenient to where Iam going. Hotel looks nice outside but not inside. The staff is very nice and helpful but the room is terrible. So tiny with very small bathroom, you cant even move around, very hot with no AC, theres barely water coming out from the shower.

This is not a hotel, not even a hostel. Rooms are very run down and burning hell (no A/C). Stay away if you value comfort.

Ok, Not Great

The staff was very nice (but don't rely on their bus advice). The location was very convenient to Kings Cross, British Museum, and British Library. Lots of places to eat nearby. Room was adequate but dreary. The internet was slow, the water pressure low. Quite a bit of street noise. Fine as a budget place to stay for a night or two but not ideal for a relaxing getaway.

Too old room

Extremely old hotel. The lift was out of order during my stay. Staffs are friendly and helpful. It can keep luggage for a few days here. If you are going to take Eurostar in very early morning and just want to stay 1 night to reach Eurostar easily in the next day, then it’s ok. If you plan to stay a few days, then don’t choose it.

Beds ok, bathroom poorly upgraded. Basically, the people hanging around outside the door at night was disconcerting. Someone with a drum at 2:00 a.m. on street waking everyone up two nights in a row. Only good thing was close to train and subway
