Not favorably impressed

Rooms incredibly small, w/o attempts to add shelving to ameliorate the problem. Shower system was archaic. The elevator was out all four days we were there and we had to tote our bags up and down 4 flts of stairs. This lack of maintenance was also apparent in the run down condition of the carpets and common area walls.

Friendly staff but very average breakfast. Room was not really cleaned every day (bathroom). Booked a room for 4 with a bath, got sa shower, was no problem to be changed to a room withbath but it was then very small for 4

Das Personal hat sich große Mühe gegeben, die Zimmer sauber zu machen. Täglichen Handtuchwechsel, auch wenn sie nichtt am Boden lagen, finde ich schon etwas zu viel. Die Adapter für die Steckdosen konnten käuflich nur gegen 5 Pfund Bargeld erworben werden, wohingegen sonst überall mit Karte bezahlt werden konnte. Ich hätte diese auch gern nur geliehen. Heizung war leider auch nicht regelbar, entweder es war extrem war oder recht kühl. Alles wäre halb so wild gewesen, wenn beim Frühstück ein bisschen mehr Abwechslung gewesen wäre. Wir waren 9 Tage dort. Am 1. Tag gab es noch Brötchen. An den darauffolgenden Tagen nur noch Toastbrot und Hörnchen, 3 immer die gleichen Sorten Wurst, 1 Sorte Schnittkäse und 1 Sorte Frischkäse. Bei Gemüse, Obst, Joghurt und Müsli ebenso. Ei oder Ähnliches war im Buffet nicht enthalten. Und leider stand auch nichts davon gekühlt, sodass es den kleinen Butterstücken und der Wurst schon nach 1 Stunde anzusehen war, dass es in der Wärme stand.

OK if u don’t mind hard beds and are on a budget.

Check in person wasn’t very welcoming. However, other staff were really nice... Beds were extremely hard. One morning there was no water coming out the faucet/shower. One evening, a fire alarm went off due to the extractor not working in one of the rooms. Good quote and safe location and clean.

Litt slitent hotell, men veldig rent. I bestillingsbekreftelsen sto det at det var balkong og badekar på rommet men det var ingen av delene, de var lite interreserte i dette i resepsjonen. Veldig lytt rom, bare en plombert dør til det jeg antar var personalrommet, hørte alt som skjedde der inne og våknet tidligere av dette.

Ok til prisen.

Fin lokalitet til de fleste steder. Der var rent, hyggeligt og pænt på værelserne, og de skæve gulve havde sin charme. Serviceniveauet var lidt lavt i receptionen, specielt ved ankomst, og elevatoren var lidt for spændende på den dårlige måde. Lækkert mad i restaurant.

Buitenkant oogt mooi, binnen is het vergane glorie. Aftandse lift waar je een eeuwigheid op moet wachten, krakende vloeren overal maar vooral in de hotelkamer, keiharde bedden, raam die niet open kan, benauwde warme kamer, toilet die amper doortrekt, oud meubilair en zeer matig ontbijt. Personeel is beleefd maar niet vriendelijk, nachtportier is zeker niet vriendelijk. Kamer en badkamer waren wel schoon. Hotel ligt vlakbij twee metrostations en dichtbij Hyde park.

Really friendly staff upon arriving after a very long flight from Australia, then a train ride to Paddington station then a taxi ride to the hotel! The guy on the desk was helpful and thank goodness there was a lift. Don't expect a large room like we are used to in Australia though, this was small but well formed. My room contained a double bed, hard up against one wall so I could just walk around one side, luckily I was there alone or both would have to get out of the same side of the bed. I had a n en-suite which was a bonus for me. No breakfast included, but I was only there 2 nights so I was fine to go sightseeing and grab a coffee + something to eat. Breakfast is available to purchase. The bedding was clean and the room cleaned daily. It gets hot in the room but thank fully there was a fan. Older hotel but good value seeing as the on/off bus was just down the end of the road. I enjoyed my stay. Upon leaving the guy on the desk (working the 16th October morning) Can't remember his name, was super helpful and kind, a real credit to the hotel. He ordered me a taxi etc. Thank you.
