Please Do Better!!!

When i I got to the hotel at 2:10pm, there was a VACCINES sign on the door. This greatly increased my hopes of possibly having an early check in(rather than 2:30)which i did. The gentleman on reception was very welcoming, took my details and showed me to the first room at the top of the first set of staff on reception. There was a draft however, the window in the room given to me was open so i simply closed the window and expected thing to warm up soon. The room was quiet small so after almost an hour i started shivering, felt the heater and it was very low barley giving any heat. At 3am unable to sleep/make myself comfortable, (after having my second shower to warm me ) i decided to go down and have a cigarette...there was still the VACCINES sign on the door. Now at 6:57am writing this, I'm STILL awaiting for my room (101) to warm up!!!

The desk staff was absolutely wonderful. My room was clean, but needed updating. The window did not close all the way, which was okay on the 4th floor, but would have been bothersome on the 1st or 2nd floors. One towel, and one pillow were not enough, but taking the very steep narrow stairs down to ask for more, and then climbing back up made it not worth the bother. Also, my deadbolt did not work properly and there was no drain plug for the sink. I knew I was in for a small room, but there was absolutely no place for luggage, I had to sleep with it on the bed with me, or risk tripping on it in the dark. Basically, it was adequate. I won't be staying there again however, nor will I be recommending it to anyone I know. The one thing I can say is that the staff was extremely kind and friendly.

My advice, think twice

The room as advertised and booked was nothing like the advertised pictures. The floor was dusty and the bathroom / shower looked as if it had not been cleaned. The left tap was very loose and moved when you tried to turn it on. When a shower was attempted the shower door would not shut as the shower lip was broken. I did not attempt to touch the window as there was two large cracks in the glass that I didn’t want to fall out if I touched it. The TV had a suspicious wire hanging out the back I didn’t touch in case it was live. The room was advertised as having tea making facilities, but I had to go down stairs and barter for a kettle as there was not one in the room as advertised. There was two plug sockets in the room one for the highly unnecessary fridge and one for the ghost kettle. If you wanted to charge something or plug your laptop in the fridge or kettle had to be unplugged. This involved moving the mini fridge every time also.

Infested with bedbugs. The worst place I have stayed ever! I have more than 20 bites and left early the next morning. The pictures do not reflect the rooms. It’s run down, the wallpaper is loose and there were so many bedbugs when I turned on the light. I STILL feel dirty and disgusted. Cheap is one thing, I only need a bed to sleep in. but I still expect no health issues. This is truly the most horrible stay I’ve ever had.

Basic but good value

Very small single room but absolutely fine apart from the lack of plugs. Didn’t get a chance to consume the free coffee which was disappointing. Otherwise no problems.

We didn't stay here because as soon as we arrived and saw the garbage and old mattresses out in front, we were very disappointed. I would not keep this hotel or any of the others along this row on your website.
