"We made a last minute decision to go to LBI on a washed out Memorial Day weekend. The cost of this hotel increased by $200 between clicking reserve and making my payment. $680 for one night was way overpriced, but we were feeling capricious and figured it was better than just staying home all weekend. The staff are extremely nice and helpful, we had no problem finding parking across the street, the room was very clean and comfortable, though the wall-sized photo of people on the beach creeped me out a little. Being able to have cocktails in the bar downstairs was nice. It seems like a popular spot. There were chocolate chip cookies at the front desk when we arrived. The breakfast certainly did not justify the cost of the room. A small alcove contained grab and go items. We took stuff for our drive home, but had breakfast at LBI pancake house. We would stay here again, but only if we could get a room for far less than what we paid. Oh, and the elevator! We felt like we were in the bowels of a ship evey time we were in it. Super slow and creaky."
