Farnton Hill Gallops, Long Riston, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. A training course for race horses has existed at Farnton Hill since the 19th century. A track of sand mixed with wool now runs alongside the public footpath between Long Riston and the parish boundary with Rise at the southeast corner of Farnton Plantations.

St Margaret's Church, Long Riston, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. A church has existed at Long Riston since before 1170 and was called St Margaret's by 1434. Like most English churches it has been much altered over the centuries. The tower was added in the 14th century and restored in 1881. On arrival, the booking system went down resulting in a 1 hour wait in the foyer, to be allocated a room. The shower gel had not been replenished between guests, leaving an empty container and no shower gel for use. Disappointing stay overall, I would not recommend or stay again.
