Lovely hotel. Great location. Needs some updating and breakfast a little limited. Our room had issues with hot water and smells in bathroom. Would return though.
Built in the 1930’s with a series of extensions on a sloping site means that accessibility is an issue. Staff were friendly. Large wedding group so service a little slow but well organised. Slightly tired around the edges but good views of sea and 5min walk to centre of Looe

Hotel staff were friendly and views from bar and restaurant were lovely, however our room was not worth what we paid. The room was very old and in need of refurbishment as for the view a building was over looking our window . Very disappointed

Great view of Looe Bay
Always wanted to stay here because of the location. Friendly staff but tired hotel and expensive £200+ a night b&b.
Can’t wait to go back to this hotel it was wonderful I had a much needed rest and my dog was happy as no sound of fireworks !! Def staying there next November 5th !
I had a problem with a continual sound of drums and rang reception to ask where it was coming from . The duty manager John said there was a guy who practiced drums in his garden room behind hotel !! He kindly moved me to a seaview room at front of hotel which was lovely and quiet . I so appreciated his kindness .
Breakfast was first class so much to chose from an extensive cold and hot buffet . The dining room staff were friendly polite and extremely helpful
It was great to have free parking and plenty of it just opposite the hotel.
I’m thinking of going for a spa weekend in the new year with my friend .
I would recommend this hotel 100% I really cannot find any fault
My room was bright and airy, with a window opening onto the garden. The bathroom was modern and well-equipped with toiletries. The swimming pool was lovely, with a relaxing jacuzzi as well. I used it twice on a one-night stay. We arrived before check-in on the Saturday, but I had rung beforehand and was assured I was welcome to use the pool before checking in, and that towels would be provided. I was at the hotel for an evening function, where the food was delicious and the service excellent. The buffet breakfast was also very good. The hotel setting is perfect, with lovely walks along the coast. There are a lot of steps, both up to the front door and inside the hotel (there is a lift but sometimes you do need to use stairs eg to the pool) so it may not suit anyone who has difficulty walking. A lovely short break.
The staff were efficient, friendly and went the extra mile for those who needed help. Cleanliness around the hotel was great. Lovely breakfast. The views from the hotel were amazing.

Fire alarm fault
I arrived at the hotel after a 6 hour drive. Incredibly tired I went to sleep only to be woken and evacuated due to a faulty fire alarm. I stayed an extra night due to lack of sleep and again at 1am I was woken by the faulty fire alarm that wasn’t fixed from the first night. I now feel poorly due to having approximately 3 hours sleep in two nights. Very disappointing.
Great hotel, friendly staff and an awesome holiday
Our room was spotless and it was probably the comfiest hotel beds I've ever slept in. Very happy with this. We visited in August 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic so things were naturally a bit odd, room not serviced as they normally would but clean towels, tea, milk and anything else we needed for the room was available. However, the rooms should have been serviced part way through our stay and they weren't. We didn't see this as much of a problem though but just a bit irritated with the lack of consistency of following through with the procedures they'd put in place.
Breakfast was great. A little slow some mornings but staff numbers were reduced and we never had to wait very long. We were on holiday too so weren't in a rush.
The evening meals we had in the hotel were very good and the drink selection, especially gin and rum were excellent. Also a very good wine choice. The management here obviously took much pride in a well stocked bar.
All the staff were very friendly and were ready to hand over our keys without us having to keep telling them our room numbers. It helped make us feel very welcome.
We would happily stay again if we were to go back to that area.
Out of season so was very quiet. Beautiful views from the rooms. Good breakfast. Very small but nice pool and spa and small gym. Good hotel

Off peak winter break
Booked a superior sea view room, the views are amazing, but the room was much smaller than expected and a double bed rather than a king size was a disappointment. Bathroom clearly newly refurbished and bedroom appear to be part way though with new chairs and bedding colour scheme, but old unmatching curtains and furniture which was just odd. And at £260 for 2 nights off season was top price for the of standard room. Spa facilities very nice, massive spa bath and steamroom (which was sadly out if action), but pool full of children so very noisey! Breakfast was excellent.
Great Hotel, parking just out side with sea view. Town centre 15 minute walk along harbour.
Staff are brilliant and could not do enough for you. Place is quiet and relaxing, use when on business.. Recommend!!
I was very disappointed, I booked 2 nights for a quite relaxing break. Hotel did not resemble the photos. My room was tiny and very stuffy, I asked for a fan which they provided but I didn’t sleep for the 2 nights I left feeling more tired then when I arrived!
Service at bar for food was very poor so ended up missing dinner completely.
The Spar/pool was very dirty and obviously not checked by the staff.
Great weekend ,lovely hotel overlooking the sea . Staff friendly and helpful.

The location was really good and the view from the restaurant was lovely. It was about a 10 minute walk to the bridge to town, or slightly less to catch the ferry, which was really worth doing. The room was tired and dated, but was clean. The public areas in the hotel were much nicer. The leisure facilities were good, although the hot tub wasn’t working which was disappointing.
Lovely hotel on seafront, easy walk into Looe
Slightly old fashioned but not dertrimental to
Hotel. Spa and swimming pool excellent.

Not bad, but not as good as the reviews say
I only stayed one night - In general the hotel cleanliness was OK, but overall did not meet expectations based on the online reviews I read before making the booking.
I did not eat at the restaurant, choosing to eat out instead. General conversations with others shared the same opinions that the hotel is in need of update renovations
