This is my go-to place for some R&R. Every time I stay here things get better and better . I have found that the staff can be very helpful and the manager is such a nice guy. This place does have a bad reputation but give them a chance to change your mind

Even after all the comments of not being in a safe area, I liked the place. Worked for what I needed, slept okay. Not your fancy castle but perfect to sleep. If you’re on a budget, is great. If you want royal treatment, go pay for a royal hotel. That’s all I got to say. This place is good. Just bring flip flops and enjoy your stay.

We stayed here because of the high prices at the nice hotels in the Louisville area and this was somewhat affordable considering how the hotels jack up the prices for special events as in the Kentucky Derby. The room itself was clean enough and the bed comfortable but the exterior of the building complex was scary. We had to have someone from the front desk open our room each time we wanted to enter upon returning. This was a major inconvenience but Budgetel made good and returned some money which was fair. On any other occasion I’d say look for someplace else.

This is a motel. What you lose when the H changes to an M is hugely evident here. Because of the US golf tournament, all hotel prices sky rocketed, so found this place. Did not feel safe & stayed out until 4am, so not to sleep there for too long. It served a purpose.

Budget Motel

This place is exactly what the name says a budget motel. The rooms are run down and have a stale scent of cigarettes with matching burn stains in the comforters. That said the staff was very friendly and the room was freshly cleaned prior to our arrival (the floor was still wet) which was very much appreciated! We had no issues with any types of bugs and it was exactly what we expected under the circumstances

Not the best for the money

The property over all was meh. It also housed a bunch of extended stay as well. Tv didnt work ( the remote wasnt even for that tv) 5 day stay for 2 and we had 2 paperthin towels , large gap at the bottom of the door ( could see daylight thru it ). The neighboring property was kinda sketchy. But was close enough to our event and had plenty of food options close

Give this place a shot. Things are changing

I stay here a lot bc of the price. This place does have a bad reputation but don't count them out. The beautiful blonde in the front office will do everything she can to make sure your stay is what you expect. I found that employees are very friendly. Things are changing here for the good. I've notice it every time I stay. I had a valid issue and they made it right which made me feel like they appreciated my business. That alone changes things about the place. I will continue to stay here on the days I need a get away. Give this place a try

NEVER AGAIN

Room was not clean. Landline didn't work. White towels etc stains. Furniture out dated and cosmetic issues around room. The light kept cutting on and off. The people living there have no respect for their neighbors. Yelling and screaming into late night and early morning hours a long with a late night physical fight as well. Do not recommend even if they gave me a room for free to stay in. Staff very friendly and helpful tho. No coffee maker in rooms either no microwave, had a mini fridge with issues at least??? Plenty of places in walking distance for dining and convenience necessities

This motel is far from fancy, but it was perfect for our needs. Convenient to the activities we came to Louisville to do. The rooms were large and roomy. The beds were comfortable and the price was right. It was hot and the air conditioning worked well. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful.

Climate was fine but TV did not work. Had to keep getting keys reprogrammed, hard to open door, no chair for desk, not enough outlets, WIFI hardly there, and no trashcan.
