"there was nothing we liked... the foto made one think it was in a green location. it was sqeezed in between other hotels, on a very steep hill, very narrow street reception is in bmt. staff was unfriendly, room was like a cell, window opened untoa roof and walk way, so we could not sleep w. open window... address is wrong, the place is in Geres which is a town 27 km further east, we had to backtrack after we got to the town that is noted on the reservation, which is act. the district...

"Our 3 nights stay here was incredible. The owner is open and friendly, warm and welcoming. The room is immaculate, with attention to detail and a complimentary bottle of Vinho Verde. The pool is well situated, clean and warm in the evening. The breakfast is a fantastic spread of traditional and contemporary foods (their daily cake is to die for!). "I was absolutely blown away by this hotel! I booked on Expedia and messaged the hotel directly, they were very responsive. I got an amazing, spacious room with great views of Bom Jesus de Monte. The rooms are spotless and the bedding is very comfortable. Breakfast was included, but it was extremely limited, so I stopped using it after day two. There’s no room service, but the restaurant attached to the hotel is lovely, with stunning views over Braga. The staff are very accommodating, and the spa area is clean and also offers beautiful views. All of this for quite an amazing price. I had very little expectation going in, but I was truly impressed! The only major downside was the air conditioning, despite setting it lower and lower (from 21°C down to 11°C), the room temperature stubbornly stayed at 25°C, which made it difficult to sleep."
