"Staff very friendly and welcoming, always greeted you when you entered. Good facilities for self catering. Rooms a little dated but clean. Good quality bunk beds-not rickety or squeaky. Only negative I would say is the sheets aren’t big enough for the bed-even someone who sleeps like a corpse wouldn’t be able to keep it on the mattress. Overall happy with my experience here and would recommend!"

"We stayed here for a couple of nights while my partner visited the convention at the nec. We had lovely weather but unfortunately the hotel is quite dated and has no air conditioning in the rooms. Some hotels that don’t have air conditioning do put fans/heaters in the rooms but no fans were provided during the hot weather at this hotel.
We also found the air vent in our bathroom had not been cleaned in some time as it was thick with dust and so stopping the vent from working making the vent useless.
This is a handy hotel for the nec only about a 15 minute walk away and the lady on reception when we checked out was very friendly. But be warned it is a dated hotel. "
"We stayed for one night in a suite booked through Expedia and unfortunately the experience did not meet expectations, particularly given the price paid.
We chose the suite because it was advertised as having a separate sitting area and complimentary WiFi. However, the room did not appear to have a genuinely separate seating area as described, and we were not provided with any WiFi information on arrival.
There were several maintenance and cleanliness issues, including a broken and unstable table, an empty shower gel dispenser, an unpleasant odour coming from the bathroom, and a room telephone that did not work. We also attempted to contact room service at around 7pm and received no answer.
The sofa bed was particularly disappointing. Our child, who normally sleeps very well, struggled to sleep on it and we did not feel it was suitable for use as a child's bed.
The room was extremely hot on arrival, with the windows and curtains left open on one of the hottest days of the year. Despite putting the fans on immediately, it took a long time for the room to become comfortable.
The hotel itself felt tired and dated in several areas and would benefit from refurbishment and improved maintenance.
We were also disappointed by the breakfast arrangements. Information provided stated that weekday breakfast, including Mondays, was served from 7:00am. However, as it was a Bank Holiday Monday, breakfast did not start until 8:00am. This was not communicated to us at check in. Having bee"
"This charming hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes walk crossing the footpath bridge over the River Avon to The Royal Shakespeare Company Theater, Holy Trinity Church, Shakespeare’s birthplace, local restaurants, shopping and things to see. Beautiful area! My room was modest yet very clean & comfortable, the front desk team was courteous, and the breakfast included with my stay was a nice surprise (basic options of coffee/tea/baked goods/yogurt/cereals and fruit) and I enjoyed the delicious egg scramble for an extra cost.
The Bear is a cozy downstairs pub adjacent to the lobby and serves traditional English pub food- I had an acceptable serving of fish and chips with mushy peas and a drink before heading out to see a play at The RSC!
(There is also a fine dining restaurant, Bistrot Pierre, adjacent to the lobby I did not eat at, however, I heard good reviews in town from others about it).
I recommend this lovely, quiet, and well maintained property and plan to come back!
The photo of Ferris wheel is the view from my room. Others about town …"
"The hotel is undergoing some revamp work but the quality of the work is spot on. Amazing and clean rooms, the beds are incredibly comfortable and for myself being disabled and suffering with really bad back, neck and legs problems this was a god send as I find most hotel beds really uncomfortable. This is most certainly a hotel I will be coming back to and staying at everytime I come to the area which is often. The staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough wish I had tmfound this hotel alot sooner than where I normally stay!!"
"I had booked a weekend for my parents in one of the superior rooms in the main house.
When they checked in they were informed of where to park outside the main house. As we drove round there were a variety of barriers preventing us from parking, we were then informed that we would not be allowed to park as there was a wedding happening the following day.
We were informed to park a distance from the main house and my parents to walk further (disabled parking was unavailable).
My father, who struggles to walk and is 82 was left expected to walk much further than he was cable of.
The folllowing evening when I dropped them back at the hotel only to find out that they were directly over the wedding evening, and could not sleep because of the noise. They were moved rooms but this added to a later than they were usual too late night.
At no point were we informed that there was a wedding event,
They were due to leave the following day at 0630 to travel back to Ellesmere Port to miss traffic.
My father after this ordeal slept the rest of the afternoon (which is unlike him).
I feel the whole experience has been completely ruined and the communication and sympathy and understanding very lacking.
At this stage, I would not recommend.
We expect a call to discuss from the venue and hope their reaction will amend our extreme disappointment."
"Lovely 2 night stay, great value via Expedia. Was in the area for a concert at Warwick Arts, visits to Kenilworth Castle and Stoneleigh and proved ideal location.
Not at all snooty or stuffy like some country hotels.
Clean modern bathroom, comfortable bed, good breakfast, pleasant walks from hotel, well equipped gym.
Lots of hotels in this area, glad we chose this one."
