Great Value

I booked a room here while looking for a flat for an upcoming semester at university. Hostal del Pez Azul far exceeded my expectations. First off, it is not a traditional hostel, but more similar to a room you would find in a hotel, private bathroom included. The room was actually bigger than the previous hotel I stayed at. The owner was also extremely friendly. Overall, great value for the money.

Wir waren die letzten Gäste bevor auch in Madrid alles wegen Corona geschlossen wurde. Ohne die Familie die sich dort um alles kümmern wären wir aufgeschmissen gewesen. Man hat uns sogar die private Küche zum Pizza machen angeboten, da vor Ort schon alles sgeschlossen war ausser der Supermarkt. Ganz tolle Familie. Wir kommen wieder.

En el barrio

Siempre que visitamos Madrid nos solemos alojar en esta zona. El Pez Azul responde bastante bien a las características de alojamiento que buscamos habitualmente: ubicación, comodidad y limpieza. Un alojamiento sin grandes pretensiones, pero que cubre bastante bien las necesidades del viajero a un precio razonable.

Excellent rapport qualité prix

Pas vraiment un hôtel mais une pension tenue par une charmante dame. On a les clés de l'immeuble et de l'appartement. Chambres individuelles tout confort, ménage fait tous les jours et bien situé.

La estancia estuvo de maravilla, no tengo queja

Experiencia increíble, muy cómoda la habitación, confortable, el ambiente tranquilo, no hay ruido por parte de la calle ni de los vecinos, el personal del hotel muy cordiales, amables y respetable, me ha encantado estar ahí y ademas si quieres estar para visitar Madrid, recomiendo este hostal porque esta cerca de los lugares turísticos en Madrid, volvería alojarme en ese hostal.

Etablissement spartiate au coeur du centre-ville.

L'établissement se situe dans un immeuble d'habitation. Il n'a pas été facile à trouver. Je pense qu'il s'agit un groupe d'appartements qui ont été regroupés pour accueillir des touristes. La chambre était petite mais je m'y attendais. La fenêtre offrait une vue directe sur un mur à moins d'un mètre, d'où un manque flagrant de luminosité. La literie était inconfortable et mériterait d'être changée.

I was very pleased with this location.

This is definitely a great place to stay if you are on a budget. The room that I stayed in was terrific. The owner comes and cleans the room every day. She even did my laundry. However, it must be a small amount of laundry. I was very pleased and I will be staying here again the next time I am back in Madrid. I recommend this hotel to anyone.

Ottima posizione

Abbiamo avuto qualche difficoltà nel trovare l'entrata dell'hotel in quanto non è ben visibile. In pratica si deve entrare da un portone dove ci sono anche appartamenti privati. Però i proprietari, anche se parlano solo spagnolo, sono molto cordiali e disponibili.

Sharing house, not a hotel.

The hotel is much smaller than expected but this could be typical for lower class Spanish hotel. It should be categorized as B&B without breakfast than a hotel. Anyway, though with limited communication capability, the owner was trying her best. I believe she also try her best in renovating the room condition.
