"Will be going back, lodge was nice and clean.
BBQ dinner at Pops Butts on the Creek was very good, J.Arthurs Restaurant was Awesome.
Best Filet Mignon we have had in a long time.
Fun time even with rain...antiquing "
"Was great!! The guy in the lobby was so nice. First, he double checked the room before we stayed in it to make sure it was good. We accidentally overslept and he knocked on the door at 11 and was so nice. We left in a hurry and he called to tell us we left something behind. Will.absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend"
"This is reviewed by someone that typically stays in timeshares and resorts but enjoys experiencing small town motels every now and again.
Stay was good. 3 nights with family. Frankie, the front staff person, was very accommodating and nice. Rooms are being updated but are very small. Enough room for the beds and furniture but not much else. The bathroom is very very small. Best to keep in mind if you are a larger person. Also beds are VERY firm. I struggled with sleeping because of my back. I have lower back issues and the mattress irritated them. I woke up numerous times due to lower back pain. My spouse also had issues but slept through the night. The kids had no problems haha. Self check in is not currently available but it wasn’t an issue, Frankie helped with everything and we didn’t miss it. The pool is not currently open. Another thing to keep in mind if you are looking to book for that reason. This did not bother us because we planned to swim in the local swimming holes and do some tubing if possible but it ended up being rainy and chilly anyways so swimming was out either way. Also there is no breakfast available. I’m not sure if they offer it but just saying. Overall we would stay again for another short trip if we were in Maggie Valley.
PS, do yourself a favor and drive down a mile or so left of the motel and stop at Gates Flea Market and see Joy at the Snack Shack. The food is affordable and amazing! Don’t judge a book on this place, for real it is so good. "
"Everything was clean and the room did not smell stale and stink like some rooms. The only complaint was the bed was hard and a little high for old fat people. I loved the creek outback. Listening to that and the rain was so peaceful at night. I would stay here again. I highly recommend eating at Guayibitos Mexican restaurant in Maggie Valley and Waylans and Honeys in Waynesville. Also if you go to the Buttered Biscuit in Waynesville make sure you have someone to split the biscuit with, they are what my granny called cathead biscuits. It doesn't disappoint either. "
"Authentic vintage roadside, pet friendly, motel experience. The rooms are very much as they were when built originally (my guess is 50's). Nothing fancy but everything a practical person needs. My room was clean. The staff is friendly and attentive. They did great giving us an early check-in.
Additionally, there is a back yard to this place, with chairs and a creek. It is awesome. My dog and I really enjoyed our time in and beside the creek. I'd definitely stay here again."
