"My stay at Sonesta was a bit of a mixed experience. There were several maintenance issues in the room that really shouldn’t have been overlooked. The shower head needed fixing, the AC seemed stuck at 18 degrees the entire time, and the Body Soap, Shampoo and conditioner dispensers were broken, which was inconvenient. The pool area was also disappointing. There’s only one pool, and it was consistently very crowded, making it hard to actually enjoy. That said, the staff were genuinely nice and helpful, which made a positive difference during the stay. Overall, it has potential, but the property really needs better upkeep and attention to detail."

"This resort was an enormous disappointment and felt like a complete misrepresentation of what was advertised. The beach was one of the biggest letdowns there was very little actual beach space, and it was not swimmable, which completely undermines the vacation experience. The pool chairs were extremely uncomfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the resort was dreary and uninspired. Everything was beige and generic, with the feel of a Midwest airport hotel rather than a luxury Caribbean resort. The lobby bar was consistently filled with business travelers wearing name badges, which made the entire property feel more like a convention hotel than a relaxing getaway. The food was poor, with very limited options. Many of the plants around the resort were dead, which only added to the depressing atmosphere. The staff was not warm, friendly, or accommodating, and there was little to no effort made to create a welcoming or elevated guest experience. The location also felt isolating. It is in the middle of nowhere, with very few nearby options unless you are willing to drive a significant distance. There was virtually no entertainment and no meaningful activities to speak of just a lone saxophonist in the lobby, which only emphasized how empty and lifeless the place felt. To make matters worse, the hotel was uncomfortably cold throughout, and nothing about the experience felt luxurious, relaxing, or vacation-like. Given the $ - STAY ELSEWHERE!!"

"A little older property but very clean, conveniently located on a beach, next to strip of restaurants, bars, supermarket. Nice kitchenette with full-size fridge. Pool area very small but beach is very nice. "

"Everyone was nice. Loved our stay. The oceanview 2 bedroom 2 bath accommodation we had for a family of 4 was great. The ocean view in the living room and the balcony were really beautiful. Although weather was windy and the beach water is a bit cold when you first go in, the water is so calm and clear, no waves as they are coves. The pool is heated. Excellent place to stay near the airport. It has a lot of restaurants around but we had breakfasts in the Cabana Bar and Grill twice. "
