"Great conference center with helpful friendly hotel staff."

"As someone familiar with military dorms, these definitely have a "used to be a dorm" vibe. Driving around the property you can see buildings next door that are still abandoned that make me hope the hotel will take over at some point. What I admire about this hotel is the EFFORT to keep things as clean and organized as possible despite some aging and perhaps limited capabilities. Example, the fruit they offered was fresh. The bananas weren't bruised, the clementines were ripe. They even offered...

"I had to find a room fast (11:00 PM) due to my original hotel lost power. It was out of the way and was farther than Google maps indicated, but it worked for over night. Owners were great!"

"We loved this place! It's a beautiful, historic home filled with a fascinating assortment of antiques, toys, books... They're not allowed to cook for guests because there's no industrial kitchen, but they more than made up for it with an amazing assortment of foods for breakfast. The inn isn't far from the highway, so it was easy to find. At the same time, it was a very quiet neighborhood and close to a variety of restaurants. We will definitely stay here again when in Champaign."

"It states on the outside sign microwave and frig in all rooms. Our room was without and microwave. When asked for one, the gentlemen at the bar stated that it only came with weekly rentals, but the young lady working the desk was nice enought to find us one from a vacant room."
