Snorkeling in front of hotel at reef, has dive shop with dive sites 5-10 minute boat ride.

"Friendly lobby staff. The dive center was helpful. Tried to eat at restaurant, ended up going to nearby places as didn’t like the restaurant service. The lace was busy. One server told us we can use one of the tables once the cleaned it as prior diners just left. But then another server came in and put a reserved sign on the table. There was no coordination among servers and I hear some other people comping on the wait to get food so we didn’t want to wait for a table and went somewhere else....

Just seconds from the beach itself, and a whole bouquet of different restaurants with excellent food. Luxurious access to guided snorkeling tours, etc. Bring mosquito repellants with you - these insects could bite around sunset and an hour or so after, if you would want to be on the porch. Cafe Marco was a step above most of the food establishments, as was the Dawei Tea House, both linked to the hotel. Rooms were clean and modern. Only negative was that the advertised free parking was not free if you book through an on-line service, like Orbitz.
