"I've been here twice and would go back. The setting is very pretty next to the river., but I was there on business so this counted for less. Rooms are comfortable, the superior room I took once had a jacuzzi in it as well as a large amount of space. The restaurant is good with its own pizza oven, I also recommend the local beer - on the evenings when it's not open you can just walk up the road to the Voltaire. Breakfast is a buffet with a large choice, and is served early. Staff are helpful but not always at the reception, you may have to ask in the bar. Payment is made in advance on check in. Parking more difficult than it seems - limited amount of space, and it fills up quickly."
"Absolutely love this hotel, have stayed twice this year and it is a lovely location. The rooms are lovely and a good size with comfortable beds, the breakfast is fantastic, the sauna area is excellent, the staff are wonderful. Can't wait to stay again!"
"The room was clean and new. The view was excellent. The service was good, but very hands off. Don’t expect to see much of your hosts. Breakfast was good, but not really buffet style. More like they put food out for you on a table.
The only unfortunate thing is that on my last morning someone tried to enter my room a few times. Just trying the door which I had locked.
Upon checkout I was unable to locate the hosts so I just left the key on the bar and took off. "
"The food in the restaurant was like from grandmas kitchen. Delicious dinner, the old German way.
Rooms reasonably priced, clean and comfy beds.
The only rub: church bells at 7 am …..
we had to get going, anyway, luckily. "
"Good hotel in a convenient location for the town. Traditional furnishings but room was perfectly fine. Good breakfast. We were able to park our motorcycle within the rear courtyard.
Slight negative is that the front entrance to the hotel is not in use and access is via the rear door. It took us a while to discover this as you have to drive through a public car park to reach the entrance. Overall a decent hotel with pleasant staff. "
"Only stayed for 1 night on way through, a quiet location, lots of space to sit and relax, catered for young children as lovely garden area and a small play room. The bed was very comfortable. Sofa bed for my son was very hard and not so comfortable but fine for 1 night. Friendly staff"
