"The Hotel Lago Maggiore is everything you’d want for your time in Locarno and more. It is modern, beautiful, sparkling clean, well-maintained, expertly staffed, and ideally located. It is wonderful sitting outside whether on the room’s terrace, the rooftop terrace, or on the ground-level bar/lounge/restaurant terrace. The icing on the cake is the restaurant. Breakfast is delicious, as is lunch, but dinner is truly exceptional — do try the tasting menu for an unforgettably perfect meal! We had a terrific time and hope to return soon!"

"Lovely lake-facing room with a wonderful view. Comfortable bed. Spacious shower with lots of hot water. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to the convent and funicular. The walk back up from town could be a bit challenging for older or unfit people, but we enjoyed it."
