Property in need of renovation. Unpleasant staff. The room was noisy and had a very strong smell of stale cigarette. Will definitely not be stay here again.

The building is tired and in dire need of renovation. Holes in walls and doors, smashed tiles in bathroom, dirty carpets, cheap everything. The bed was clean - I was only staying one night - so never mind. Typical of these huge old buildings transformed into hotels.

I cannot understand the issue around coffee in the rooms - no decaffeinated. I asked at reception for sachets of decaffeinated coffee. I was informed that nobody had asked before. The receptionist was unable to obtain any. The option was not available in the coffee machines in the breakfast lounge. I had to ask for sachets. A memebr of staff brought me some.

Not enough towels or sockets. Shower curtain billowed inwards during shower and ended up wrapped round me. Water was all over the floor! No close sockets by bed and only the doorman seemed friendly in any way

As a budget venue it is excellent. I would like to have had a small fridge and a tv with greater volume (I am getting old and deaf!). I enjoyed the breakfast, especially the weetabix (I buy a budget version at home!) The room was as expected and although room Wifi was an extra, the communal areas gave free access.
