"The housekeeping was poor. A coffee cup had been put away dirty, the soap container in the shower was empty and housekeeping, I was told, was supposed to come every other day but no one did.
What was troublesome was that the floor is a vinyl with a wood pattern and the build up of sand over 3 days from coming in from the beach was bad. It got everywhere. It reminded me of how a tent gets when beach camping. The floors won’t last long with all that grit scrubbing over them. Also sand can become slippery and when it rains it will be a muddy mess.
It’s also uncomfortable to walk on and it gets tracked from your feet into the bed. Sandy sheets aren’t fun.
Industrial low nap carpet as in other beach motels I stay at would look better, make the room feel warmer and less sterile, and with vacuuming deal with the sand better.
Otherwise the room was clean but sparse. It seemed like it was put up in a hurry and had furniture from IKEA. The microwave door stuck and was already showing signs of wear.
That being said, the grounds were nice, the fire pit great, the chairs outside the room nice, and the beach access superb. The ocean view wonderful as the motel is just across the road from the beach. It all happens there."
