"We were there while the lobby was being renovated. I assume the rooms will follow, and that's good, because the one we were in was dated, and the bathroom desperately needs a remodel from the studs out. But the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet. That's all we needed. The gentleman who checked us in was awesome."
"Perfect crash pad for a weekend hockey tournament at Extreme Ice Center. Nice breakfast area, and room had a very nice renovated bathroom. In room a/c was meh. Anything not top notch with the room was minor (a few inop outlets, aforementioned weird a/c unit), but all the must-haves (bathroom, bed, breakfast) were very good. "
"My dad and I had such a great stay back in October, we decided to return again last month, this time for a Charlotte Hornets game. Staying here allows us to be close to Uptown, without paying premium, Center City prices. The rooms were even better this time, with beds super comfy as always. Very quiet in this hotel, which is a massive plus. Water pressure and shower amenities are a plus, too. Bacon at breakfast was a much-welcomed surprise! Next time I'm back in Charlotte, Comfort Inn Matthews is the first place I'll look."
"It was nice, the room was very clean. It was pouring down raining when I got there, and it still never made it an issue. And the fact that the toilet paper was even folded was a plus."
"Friendly, fast and efficient front desk. Clean room, comfortable bed and pillows, nice shower. The hvac unit worked quietly and no odd smells. All in all, it was a great overnight stay in Monroe. Fairly typical HI-Express breakfast with plenty of warm cinnamon rolls and good coffee."
