"Cute place. I enjoyed my room - especially the fireplace and my bed was super comfy. The biergarden was closed so I didn’t get to visit that part of it the property. I had an early flight out of Dulles the next morning so I let her know at check in that I would miss breakfast. Other B&B’s I have stayed at packed me a breakfast to go when I let them know I had to leave early - no such luck here. Which is fine, it’s just a nice touch. So I asked if coffee was possible but nope. A coffee pot in the room or common area would be ideal for folks who have to take off before breakfast. Other than that no complaints, it was a chill stay and a cute little town. "

"This was the loveliest motel I have ever stayed in! The room was very well maintained, spotless and decorated with taste. It had a modern feel which has been a rarity in most of the motels I have stayed in. I had everything needed in the room: Wi-Fi, TV, microwave, a fridge and a coffee maker which made the stay very comfortable. There was also a pool outside however it was off season so it was closed. The staff was super nice and helpful. The location was great: just a short drive to the center of town as well as the Luray caverns and close to the entrance of the Shenandoah national park which was fantastic for hiking. This place is just a gem!"

"Luray is a relaxing place meant for enjoying the beauty of the Blue Ridge mountains, the Shenandoah Valley, and a slower pace. There is adventure in fishing, rafting, hiking, and biking. There are no Gallerias or Malls. It is lovely and refreshing. The Mimslyn is perfect. The breakfast in the Circa 31 room is exceptional. The dinner and a drink in the Speakeasy is well done and much appreciated after a day exploring the area. We spent time fishing the South Fork Shenandoah and then came “home” to our base at the Mimslyn. Core memories."

"We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful location. The current administration should invest funds in the National Parks, rather than divesting from them, and rather than spending untold, mismanaged, hundreds of millions on ballrooms and personal jets. This historied encampment deserves to be kept up in a more intentional way for our children and grandchildren. Can you imagine what Skyland would look like if just a handful of millions going toward a gilded jet were spent on the deep cleaning and deferred maintenance it requires? "
