"The staff at the hotel were above and beyond. The food and service in the Alice Bar were absolutely excellent. The hotel room could definitely use a renovation/makeover. Electricity on one side of the room was intermittent. Bathroom mirror was damaged."

"Spark was a great hotel, very comfortable, and straight forward, great clean room and great beds. Very stream line. It only had a shower and as we were walking a lot during the day, it would have been nice to have a hot soak in a tub at the end of the day. The staff were very helpful, and when asked they delivered most of the time, only on our last morning they missed the wake up call we had requested for a early morning flight, luckily we were awake, but if not, we might have slept in, and missed our flight. The free breakfast was good, clean, straightforward but everything you needed. I really appreciated the coffee/tea station that was available 24/7, it was great to be able to get a free cup of tea at the end of the day. We appreciated the snack/ beer /wine that you could buy at the front desk. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. We would definitely stay at a Spark Hotel on our next trip!"

"Great location between Chinatown and the Quartier des Spectacles, so you have plenty of options for coffee, lunch and diner. The room is oddly shaped so I couldn't watch the TV from the bed. That's not so bad given the gorgeous view over the city."

"Spent two nights here in September. Good hotel for tourists. It’s less than a 10 minute walk to Old Montreal. As far as the rooms go, didn’t spend a ton of time there but the bathroom (and the whole rooms too) was clean, the shower worked great and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There is a decent bar in the hotel lobby. For a short tourist stay in downtown Montreal it is a nice, clean and affordable option. The room I stayed in did smell a bit like smoke on check-in but running the room fan for a few mins."
