"Overall, we had a great stay at Lani Kai and would definitely come back!
Our room was exactly what we were hoping for, with a king-size bed, two chairs, a refrigerator, a private patio, and an incredible beachfront view. The location is unbeatable—right on the beach and within walking distance of everything you could need.
The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. The many restaurants, shops, and dining options made everything so convenient. The beach views and sunsets were absolutely spectacular.
The only downside to our room was the mattress. It was very stiff and uncomfortable, and upgrading the beds would make a big difference.
My biggest disappointment was with the beach chair and umbrella rental. Our room wasn’t ready until later in the afternoon, so we went to the beach around 3:00 p.m. while waiting to check in. As resort guests, we paid $33 for two chairs and an umbrella, but they were picked up around 4:55 p.m., leaving very little time to use them. Since our room wasn’t ready, it would have been a nice gesture to offer complimentary chairs while we waited, or at least a reduced late-day rate. It also would have been helpful if the pickup time had been explained before we rented them.
Those were really the only negatives. Everything else—from the location and views to the atmosphere, staff, and restaurants—made for a wonderful stay. We’d definitely stay at Lani Kai again!"
