"The breakfast options are poor and you have to rely on the quality and cleanliness of whoever handles repackaging the food items. The view of the pool area was disgusting. With it being closed since January, I would think the least they could do is clean up the place a little. The hallways are poorly lit and dungeon-like, which may be by design because what you can see, the walls and doors are filthy. The only floor lamp in the room didn't work and any other lighting was very limited so the entire room was dark. For a room that sleeps 6, there wasn't even enough shampoo or soap for 6 showers. I have stayed in multiple motels in Brookings that sleep 4 and every single one of them at least provides 2 bars of soap. As someone that has spent over a decade in the hospitality business, I would be ashamed to manage a place that has such great potential in this regard."
