"This hotel was fabulous! The staff was very friendly and didn’t hesitate to assist with special requests (ie. more towels, ice etc.). The location is walkable to all the sights. We stayed here for 6 days and ate breakfast here every day. Good variety of items at breakfast. My only suggestion would be that staff have all breakfast items out by the start of their breakfast time as guests have trains and planes to catch. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Porto. "
"A little shocked to find out this is a 5 star hotel. Location was okay and appearances of the lobby and room was good. The reception was very kind!
Unfortunately, there were a few big negatives. There were a lot of stains on walls and carpets and the rooms were too dark. The shower had zero water pressure, we complained to reception about this and once maintenance had a look they informed us the pressure was normal for the hotel.
The biggest issue to me was the two instances where people entered our room without announcing their presence beforehand. The first time we left late afternoon and came back to an "altered room" we went down to reception to ask who entered the room and they informed us they had a turn down system, to which no one warned us about. We had left a few items out that we would've liked to have placed in a safe or kept in our belonging had we known someone would be entering the room. After said incident we went to sleep turned on do not disturb, to which reception informed us had to be on at all times if you didn't want cleaning service to walk in. We locked the door as well. At 9 in the morning we were awoken to someone opening our door, speaking and closing it. This was extremely alarming to me. Do not disturb was on, there was no knock, nothing, they simply walked right in. Felt very scary to encounter this as female travelers. Rooms should never be invaded like that. Don't recommend this hotel if you value your privacy. "
"It was a very clean and great hotel and yhe staff helped us of we jad anuthing. The morning breakfast was highly overpriced for what you got so we were glad we did npt add thatbpackage and we wished the redtauarnt and loinge had a few more options on it but other than that ot was very good place to stay. We loved how close it was to the metro station for convenience."
