"I booked several rooms for guests that came to visit form out-of-state. Luckily I stopped by the Inn prior to their arrival to make sure that all was in order for their check-in (I had prepaid the entire stay through Expedia). I was informed at the reception that for Chantico Inn, I should have booked directly with the Inn because Expedia charges are never sufficient. Expedia charged the nightly room fee, taxes, and a Property Fee of $75/room for each room. Chantico Inn demanded another $95/room...

"This hotel is conveniently located at the border of Ventura and Oxnard with very easy freeway access. Rooms were good sized and comfortable. We were there for a large family event. Unfortunately, the bar and food availability closed way too early for our needs. The bar closed at 9 PM. Breakfast ended at 10 AM."

"Well the check in I waited over 30mins for someone to come back from break/lunch. I guess only 1 person works there. The breakfast is terrible it looks like the food is from the day before burned or over cooked. When came down the last day there wasn’t any food available we had to wait 15 mins for them to bring it up. Would have been nice for a better breakfast some potatoes maybe hash browns?"

"They were in the middle of an upgrade but it was nice, clean, quiet and nice parking. The restaurant was way better than expected and the full bar and staff was perfect. Thank you!"

"The room had a really bad musty smell and the pull out bed in couch was just old yellow foam & springs . Very uncomfortable. Could hear the traffic from the freeway all day & night. The pool was very cold & lounge area around was old . Needs updating. I should have researched better , but it had great reviews on Expedia."

"The front desk gave us a room with dirty spalshed sauce stain curtain from previous visitors, and dusty table. It was pretty bad. And my family came for our baby special day. I asked the front desk if he can change us other room, but he said no since we have been changed one time. I asked at least clean the desk change the curtains. I felt very uncomfortable with unkind front desk person on that day, staying that room with a baby and felt ruined my family trip. Luckily, Next day, ...

"The area is really cute, a small town feel. The hotel is next to the strip where wineries, breweries are and it was a great location. Upon arriving the hotel has old stench. The hotel is clean as in empty, but nothing exciting or luxurious upon entering. The hotel has been touched up with paint and pretty much that's all. There was no one there to greet us. "All I wanted was a tv and a good sleep in a clean place. The tv was a snowy mess. The AC was so horribly loud. The mattress was so uncomfortable and hot (plastic liner). Disappointed. And the parking situation just added to the negativity."
