This is an amazing property, decorated in keeping with its era, which is a testament to the management and owners for its design and maintenance. The room was divine, with high quality linen, comfort of the bed and chaise, and the view is unsurpassed. I would highly recommend this motel as the best place to stay in Merimbula. Thankyou Hillcrest.

The views from our balcony apartment were so amazing, the room was clean and comfortable. Amenities were great, tennis court, sit around a fire pit, views of the town from the pool, just beautiful. Only fault is the lack of pressure in the shower

Beautiful accommodation, situated high atop a hillside with amazing views of the town below!! The room was lovely and the comfortable bed provided a great night sleep. Parking was in a covered, lower level parking area, making it easy to access our room. There is an animal sanctuary not far from the motel which we loved. There were a variety of local animals to see. The kangaroo and emu are free to roam the park and you can buy a feed bag to hand feed them while visiting the park. We would highly recommend this stay!

Perfectly renovated retaining the best of the original hotel and balancing it with new materials and fittings to make it all feel current and fresh. Late check in was a blessing and the views are to die for! I also loved that it was away from the main tourist area of Merimbula, as I find this a bit too busy. Will be back soon.

Fabulous view over the water - but sadly the rain was so extreme that we couldn’t even see that far! Plus the wind was so strong it blew the rain in under our door… Exceptional circumstances for sure. The pool looked nice though. The room and bathroom were fine, though a little tired-looking.

Sensational view: treat yourself to the sunrise from your balcony! The room was comfortable and tastefully renovated, though I would have liked a microwave oven and more space in the bathroom for makeup etc. Poor signage and lighting makes the driveway entrance hard to see when arriving at night. The motel is outside the town centre and there is no safe walkway or nearby restaurants etc. However, the staff is very helpful and keen to make you feel welcome. We enjoyed our stay.
