"Well-located hotel with a pretty courtyard , rooftop terrace and historical significance. Amenities basic (just soap shampoo and towels) but the shower was hot with good pressure. Breakfast also basic but well balanced with fresh fruit, fresh juice, bread, eggs and sometimes humitas. They offered upon arrival complimentary wine as Expedia VIP perk which was nice (some VIP hotels don't remember to recognize it). "Be sure to confirm reservations - there was some confusion about ours. The owner does not speak English so communicate through Expedia. The hot water was not working (was fixed eventually) and the place was a bit difficult to find. However, it was clean and comfortable - there was even a hot tub with jets in the bathroom. "Hotel Andaluz is beautiful. It is situated in a safe area of the historical section of Quito. Our room was large, there are a number of sitting areas throughout the hotel to meet up or relax. A rooftop area also. The buffet breakfast is extensive, breads, treats, fruit, cereal, eggs, meat, vegetables and much more. The staff is very helpful and friendly. "
