"The hotel itself is a great location, charming, well kept. Room darling decor, spacious, charming and clean. Hotel oozed Parisian charm. The view of cathedral fantastic but roadside very noisy and room stuffy, AC did not work well. Parking a disaster, consumed the entire experience. The reviews on hotel are accurate except the parking. It’s a parking garage, 1/2 mile over bridge from hotel and you must have a mini car to fit in garage. Or there is parking at cathedral, use EXTREME caution and do not deal with the fake parking attendants, they are there to scam money and steal your car. Because of the parking we never got to see an any sites, we counted ourselves lucky just to escape. Too much to share on this review but watch your back when visiting Metz, everyone knows everyone, they act helpful while they’re robbing you. It’s not the hotel’s fault that our experience was that Metz is a mess. Also, Verdun is about an hour from Metz."
"The Hotel is very good all in all
We had a good dinner at the restaurant - no breakfasr.
Only complain: the shower with seperat cold and warm water is not ok "
"Large, new looking room and spacious bathroom. Good breakfast, helpful staff, and walking distance to all of the sites. Train station and Pompedieu Center Metz are about a 20 minute walk at a comfortable pace. Hotel is surrounded with good eating and shopping for all budgets."
"The hotel is modern and clean, but expect only the minimum basics. It was tucked away in a corner where you had to go through an alley to find, and any sort of restaurant or grocery was a bit of a walk or a drive.
The hotel was advertised as "sound proof", but we heard the next room's alarm go off in the morning (for example). The room we had for three people was a tight fit. We chose this place based on rate, and you certainly get what you pay for."
"The room was a bit tight, but comfortable. The room did get a bit warm at night, so we slept with the window open to keep it comfortable. It is non-smoking but we found smoke (marijuana) in the hallways and at times strong enough to creep into the room. Not one seemed to complain, and we did not want to cause waves. Julia was very helpful and told us what to see, what to do, and where to eat. She has great customer service skills. Breakfast has an assortment of items and we loved the bread and cheeses. But there were also eggs, bacon, and cereals. The hotel is just on the edge of the old town area, so shops start about 15 meters away, and you can find cafes, restaurants, chocolate shops, and clothes stores all within walking distance. Plus the buses travel everywhere, we were able to go both north and south, east and west for several miles just exploring. Bus stop just a few meters away, and train station about 1/2 km. "
"Really nice & very spacious property with lots of curiosities all over.
Breakfast was a bit lacking in the context of the level of everything else - no fresh fruit, only compote, no fresh veggies, somewhat sad looking cheese. "
