I so enjoyed my few days here. The house is kept immaculately clean, the bedroom is tastefully decorated; the en-suite spacious with a powerful hot shower. The bed is very comfortable. The house is located within a short walking distance from the centre of Coyoacán and a diverse range of restaurants and bars. I would fully recommend a stay here; it’s quiet and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I will certainly stay here again on my next visit to Coyoacán.

This is a private home that had been converted into a small hotel. It is very cozy, on a quiet street. The location for me is perfect as it is close to the home of good Mexican friends. This is my second stay.

Great place in Coyoacan, off the busy streets

This hotel is located in an older home in Coyoacan, although it is nicely maintained. The place felt really safe and was in a great and quiet location in an area where few nice hotels were available. It was also about 20 minutes from a mall called Oasis Coyoacan and a walking distance to the Frida Kahlo house. Inside, they have a water filter (something you don't see very much in Mexico) and a communal tv room with Netflix. Overall it was exactly what we needed for our visit.

Beautiful, well-maintained former family home with large comfortable bedrooms with daily housekeeping. Lovely garden, several sitting areas & beautiful decor typical of Mexico. Ten minute walk to Coyoacan’s central plaza with many restaurants & shopping. Hope to be back soon!

I love Casa Tamayo. I have stayed here three times, averaging about 4-5 nights each time. It had been a private home and the family converted it into a small hotel with just a handful of rooms. It is carefully managed, beautifully furnished with lots of Mexican art, and features many comfortable places to sit and read or talk with friends. They offer self-help coffee and cookies and there are kitchen privileges should want them.

Our stay at Casa Tamayo was wonderful. The staff was very kind and accommodating, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The common spaces in the house were elegant and very clean, and the location is perfectly situated in Coyoacán. I highly recommend!

A wonderful experience beginning with the gracious and ever helpful hostess Consuelo.
