"The property is about 1hr 30mins from Zanzibar town, however is spacious and great place to relax. They have a private beach and the water is turquoise and white sand. Staff are multilingual and very professional and friendly. Alex, Abdul, Nasri and the whole team made our stay worthwhile and the all inclusive choice make the difference. "I booked the hotel for thirty days and ended leaving after 4 days. The pictures may look pretty and filtered, and the name sounds wonderful. But the experience was not, this place should be named Eden Encampment. How this is labeled as a 3 star hotel is beyond me. This is at most a 1 star hotel on its best day. It was advertised on hotel.com as having free wifi, to my dismay there was NO WIFI. The owner tried to play it off by providing me with a sim card 2 days later, I was charged for...

" Wonderful Stay at Maya Hotel Resort! I had an amazing experience at the Maya Hotel Resort during my 7-day stay. My first impression wasn’t the best, as we arrived at night, and I couldn’t see the ocean because the tide was out. However, in the morning, the water returned, and with better lighting, I was able to fully appreciate the beauty of the resort. The staff were absolutely wonderful—attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. The food was good, though there’s definitely room for improvement. One suggestion would be to add more variety to the breakfast menu, as it was the same every day. Despite these small areas for improvement, my overall stay was amazing, and I would definitely recommend Maya Hotel Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. I would love to visit again! "
