Great outdoor and indoor space to have a drink. Poole is a lovely area and we thought this hotel was very good value."

"Jane and Ged were fantastic: so friendly and welcoming, and the place is lovely. We stayed in the top floor room with the air conditioning due to the heat, and slept comfortably despite the hot weather. The bathroom was a little snug for my broad shoulders, but still fine. No breakfast Nov-May so can't comment on that, but they gave us some suggestions for other places to eat, which were all fantastic. "The room was immaculate as were all the public areas. The staff were most obliging and friendly."

"Our room on the 2nd floor was clean, spacious and well kitted out, with a good sized bathroom (with shower), fridge, large flat-screen TV and comfortable beds. Service throughout was excellent, from reception to dining room, where the breakfast was very good. Free Wi-Fi was reliable and fast enough. There's limited parking available at the hotel at a cost of £10 per night. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the pier and Pavilion Theatre"

"Staff were really friendly and worked hard to ensure we had a comfortable stay. It’s a nice hotel, and while hotels in Bournemouth do struggle with upkeep, it’s clear the Orchid really try. It was a little chilly, but they did provide a heater and the important parts such as the clean sheets, big fresh towels and a clean modern bathroom were all immaculate. Breakfast was good and having a nice bar on site to relax was a great addition!"

"Upon arrival staff were smartly dressed and very polite. I arrived 15 min early whi h did not seem to be a problem. Room was spacious and very clean. Warm could have been a little warmer but thats my only complaint. 30 mins from train station ( walking) couple of mins walk to beach and shops. Will book again . "
