"Such a pleasurable experience. I wanted to make a point of how helpful the front desk staff were.
We were here for a first time visit to Penn State with our son. The gentleman at the front wrote us directions of how to get where we needed to go and gave us some very helpful information. He went above and beyond. We didn't even ask and he did it. Wonderful customer service.
The young lady at the desk was a student at Penn State and she was also telling us a bit of her experience as a student. Again, customer service at its finest.
I do wish I had the staff's names so that I could mention them by name but I am hoping that you can acknowledge them from my check in time. We were there on Sunday at around 4:30ish.
Finally, we were nervous about staying at a hotel that is "dog friendly" because we thought that it would be obvious that pets have stayed. There was no reason to be nervous. The room was super clean!
We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely stay there again!"
"I was totally pleased with my stay there. You can tell it's an older motel, because the room was huge. King sized bed, large desk/counter, good sized fridge. Everything was in good working order. I appreciated touches like having the thermostat on the wall instead of controlling it from the unit. Plenty of towels, and places to hang them; plenty of usable electrical outlets; soft-close toilet seat.
The continental breakfast was a little strange. You are only allowed one item from three sections of a menu, but it's delivered to your room at a time of your choosing.
I didn't have a chance to use the ice machine or the Wi-Fi, so I can't comment on them. There was a large selection of channels on the TV. The room did smell a little stale, but that's the problem with having recirculated air conditioning - no fresh air coming in.
I don't know what they charge there during football season, but I consider it a very good value for what I paid during summer."
"No Complaints! Was very clean, rooms were comfortable, Didn’t use pool, was an overnight stay while traveling with our dogs.
Would recommend staying here; location and area very nice!"
