"Great hotel. Good staff. Very clean and well kept. It’s in a less desirable area though. Homeless etc which is the first time I’ve seen that since touring through Japan. But a great location to jump on the nearby train station which was a 7 minute walk. Then a 20 minute train ride to cool spots. This was within walking distance to the tower though. "

"Koyasan was the highlight of our Japan experience. The place we got for overnight temple stay at Ekoin temple was beautiful. Dinner was large and amazing (I am not a vegetarian but the food was delicious). Our room was a junior suite with our own bath and garden. I would not have it any other way. I wish I stayed longer than one night. Remember that this is a stay at a temple. Although one gets very nice experience, I would urge any tourists to not treat this as some hotel. "The room was comfy and actually very spacious. Food near by closes super early so if you're walking keep that in mind. I would recommend an eye mask since the sun rises early and there are only blinds and not curtains! Other than that very charming place!"

"An amazing common lobby to be shared with other guests - sofas, table, chairs, laundry, lockers, vending machine, rooftop patio. No elevators - carried all our luggage up to 5th floor (too). No staff - phone available to call someone who was helpful with check-in. Private room felt small without much of any sitting area and tight bathroom.
