I stayed here for work. 1st night, the room was clean but quite basic. I got woken up at 12.15 am by a group of drunken men who didn’t stop with their noise until 5 am. It is a wonderful historic building, but very run down . Some parts, eg the listed ballroom is closed needing roof repairs. Threadbare carpets, although bedding and towels changed each day there was poor bathroom supplies. I believe it is for sale. So fingers crossed because it’s in a good position ...
