"You simply pay for the views at this hotel. There are no frills outside of that (which was fine for my stay) the rooms had AC which was great. The staff was nice but it seems they were understaffed and simple requests took longer than other hotels I stayed at in Portugal. The buffet breakfast was convenient as there aren’t many food choices in the area to go to. I would go back simply because of the views and the relaxing property!"

"All staff that we encountered were super friendly. Our room and bathroom was a great size and had a clean spa like feel. Pool was open 24 hours. The view from restaurant looked like a postcard. Breakfast was high quality. We also had a lovely dinner on property."

"We loved our stay at Quinta de la Rosa! The hotel and the surrounding areas are absolutely beautiful. The property is about 20mins walk from Pinhao, and getting a taxi from the station is recommended if you are coming by train as there is quite a hill. The room was comfortable and well maintained. We were in Amarela which is an annex a 3 min walk away from the main property with it's own pool and living space. There are quite a few hills and step in the property, a buggy service for those with luggage might have been useful so watch out if you have heavy or large luggage. The restaurant and food was excellent, as was breakfast in the morning. Staff were extremely helpful, giving us a tour of the property and all the info we could need!"

"Beautiful bed & breakfast, up the hill from downtown Regua. Nice view looking down to the Douro River. The house is tastefully decorated. Breakfast was very good, lots to choose from. You really need a car if you stay here or have to call taxis. Even though they're just a mile from the train station the owner will not drop you off or pick you up."

"This is a nice boutique hotel in the center city of Lamaga. The room was large, clean, nicely appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. We didn't avail ourselves of the spa tub in the room but it is certainly a nice feature. The rooftop pool is inviting and there is an adjacent bar/lounge area. The restaurant features a varied menu and the food was tasty and well prepared. The morning breakfast buffet was generous and nicely presented. The hotel does not have a parking garage but there was plenty of nearby street parking when we arrived in the afternoon. There may be fewer close spots by the evening."
