Perfekt läge med högklassig service.

Mysigt och rustikt hotel med extremt bra service och hjälpsamhet. Perfekt läge i byn med närhet till mycket bra restauranger. Lätt att parkera och bli av med bilen.

La réceptionniste était à la limite du désagréable et nous a regardé porter nos sacs. La chambre n avait pas de fenêtre et il fallait monter sur une petite mezzanine pour espérer voir le jour.

Vi var besvikna... hotellet såg så fräscht ut på bilderna men istället mötes vi av en medelmåttigt rum som hade både spruckna väggar och slitna möbler. Varken poolen var en hit eller frukosten. Kanske inte det värsta vi vart med om, men inte värt priset eller 4 stjärnor

The hotel is in a beautiful old house with plenty of character. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice and the staff always pleasant and helpful. The hotel and bedrooms were very clean. My only negatives were concerning the pool area. The sun beds needed updating, particularly the mattresses and there were were only 4 parasols. These were totally insufficient with the high summer temperatures.

Siempre están pendientes de ayudarte a todo para que tu estancia sea agradable. Son muy amables. La piscina era estupenda en los días de calor y su estado de mantenimiento era perfecto.

Dire! Do not stay here!

This is not 4* and not by a long stretch. We received an upgrade to a suite, which was a kind gesture for our wedding anniversary, but the reality was that was where the hospitality ended. The hotel is worn out. The reception is tired and the check in process is underwhelming. Breakfast is absolutely DIRE! We are in Italy! Amazing produce- how can this be so bad?! The suite was nice but woefully under equipped, we had to ask for an iron and ironing board, no glasses or a bottle opener, only one english speaking TV channel. The air conditioning does not work and there was a leak in the bathroom ceiling. The pool area is nice but there is none of the fabulous view of the hills that the town is known for. The sunbeds are worn out. We had to ask three times for pool waitress service as there is no accessible bar area. I would never recommend this hotel, they have zero customer service and the place is in dire need of a complete makeover from top to bottom not just some modern rooms in an extension across the road. The little village is cute. Don't try the fish restaurant, it's vile. Il Cucco is fabulous.

Ekte italiensk hotell i Montaione.

Et flott hotell i ekte italiensk stil, med en gammel og en ny del. Vi bodde i den nye delen, som var veldig lekker og moderne. Gratis parkering i låst garasje, hyggelig personale, god frokost og fantastiske omgivelser med landsbyen Montaione!

Well positioned both in town and Tuscany.

Grand old hotel. Well located in Old town. A good base for exploring the highlights of Tuscany. Staff helpful and pleasant. Bed and pillows not very comfortable for me. Access to an iron would have been appreciated. We had noted that in the breakfast room there were 7 beautiful old religious prints, tastefully and appropriately illuminated which were suddenly removed. We were told that it was because they were deemed inappropriate. This is ITALY for goodness sake. Christian art is part of the culture! The room was suddenly the poorer for this action. Breakfast was fine but became a little predictable over our 7 day stay.

The hotel is lovely but let down by the front of house staff,they had no interest in us what so ever,it was like pulling teeth to even get a smile ,the friendliest people were the lovely ladies that serviced the rooms,we were going to put it all down to us not being to Italy before and it being there way but when your sitting at the bar for 20 mins with staff walking past you ignoring you ! it wears thin after a while then the icing on the cake was listening to a kitchen staff member clearing his throat and spitting whilst working in the kitchen ensured we did not eat in the restaurant again,to sum it up in general one or two very nice people,the hotel is lovely ,the views spectacular ,the local area is amazing,make sure you visit Volterra and Siena but although we had a great time as we are very easy going the general Italian rudeness and contempt for us took us by surprise,we will be going back but not here and we will be prepared LOL.

Excellent Stay!!

The staff was very accommodating and made the effort to make our stay that much better. Very friendly people with good amenities. Difficult to navigate to but well worth it when you arrive, beautiful town in the heart of Tuscany close to wineries and of course SAN Gimignano.

Great stay

Although AC not working in our room, they did try to fix it and offered an alternative room but to much upheaval to move so stayed put. They did allow us late check out to compensate. Need some attention to décor in modern rooms- tile grout in bathroom floors missing with sharp edges. Overall Pleasant stay, great location.

I travelled with a friend and we spent the final three days of our holiday at the UNA Palazzo Mannaione. I couldn't fault the hotel for anything - we were given an upgrade to a junior suite with a private garden, the room was sparkling clean with comfortable beds, and good aircon. The pool area was always clean and well mantained and while busy at some times of the day we never had trouble getting sun loungers by the pool. The staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay and we would definitely return to this hotel for a few days R&R in Tuscany on our next trip.

Nous avons eu le plaisir de dîner au bord de la piscine avec des musiciens, c était magnifique ! Un axe d amélioration le petit déjeuner qui n est pas à la hauteur de ce type d établissements

A lovely quaint holiday get-away in Tuscony.

The town was perfect, not too big and commercial and not too small. The service was fantastic, the staff was VERY friendly, and overall, this place was a wonderful place to stay in Tuscony!

Well positioned for seeing Tuscany

Wonderful staff , very helpful. Peaceful. Good food. Beds comfortable..all types of pillows available. Toiletries good and excellent hairdryer..Safe parking. Lovely pool and pool towels freely available. A lovely holiday even though our flights were cancelled. The hotel sorted out our dilemma and we stayed a few more days

Lovely hotel in a quiet Tuscany town

Overall our experience of the hotel was excellent. Pros: - Lovely staff and restaurant (pricey but worth it!) - Great location for exploring Tuscany - Free wine tasting! Cons: - Biggest one: Air con wasn't great and room was too hot - Pool was closed until May (we stayed at end of April - so close!) - Montaione very quiet place (could be a pro depending on what you want!)

Bel hôtel, dans le centre de Montaione.

Bel hôtel , service impeccable, belle piscine. Juste un problème de carrelage qui se soulève dans un coin de la chambre peu passager. Bon petit déjeuner. Très bel ensemble. Par contre je ne recommande pas le restaurant qui est hors de prix 60€ pour une entrée de 3 personnes (3 pâtes type raviolis fourrés par assiette). Heureusement nous n'avions pas très faim. Mais le restaurant est un peu décevant par rapport à l'hôtel. L'hôtel est bien situé entre San Gimignano et Florence, la campagne toscane est un enchantement. Je recommande !
