"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Lovely property is a great location walkable down to town. Our room was spacious and had a beautiful view! All our meals were delicious and the staff friendly. My favorite part was the selection of gorgeous places to sit by sea and ease to go for a swim in the refreshing water."

"The hotel is in great location, convenient parking near the property (2 one open and one covered). The hotel seemed family friendly, we were a couple, but weren't bothered by any kids noises even though our balcony overlooked the pool. The pool itself was closed some of the times but there's direct access to the ocean, which we enjoyed very much"

"As usual we found The Vine up to it's usual high standard. The staff are undoubtedly the stars. We have lost count of how many times we have stayed here. It is ideally situated close to the centre of Funchal. One new feature we found was the Sunday evening buffet with entertainment by the Madeira Folklore group. Excellent value, with an incredible hot and cold buffet, drinks included. Highly recommended, and we will certainly be booking our place on our next visit. Also worth a mention is the spa treatment, incredible massages. Thanks once again to the incredible staff for looking after us so well."

"The hotel was beautiful, our ocean view room was great and the staff were very kind and helpful. The only downsides are that the hotel is far from Funchal and most other tourist landmarks/hiking trails, which is inconvenient. Also, there are a lot of hidden costs, like the poolside beds, laundry or spa services. Overall it was an amazing stay if you want to relax but if you want to explore the island I’d recommend staying in Funchal."

"Se” Boutique Hotel was next level awesome! We arrived early in the morning tired and they had our room ready and let us check in early and they even gave us breakfast! They upgraded our room to an apartment which was lovely! The breakfast each morning was so delicious with a large variety of food. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The location was perfect! We would recommend this very highly and we would stay here again for sure!"

"We got a stunning room (an upgrade I guess, as we were celebrating a special occasion). All the rooms seemed to have lovely balconies. The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great and the dining courtyard was so lovely and peaceful. The rooftop pool was a great place to relax after busy hiking days. The people at the hotel (we saw Claudia at the main desk the most) were warm and very helpful. The location was excellent and they have parking right next door. My only suggestion would be that they should replace the glass/ clear plastic barrier on the rooftop to make the pool area feel nicer. It’s got a great view but somewhat obstructed by this foggy clear barrier. Overall we loved this hotel and would stay here again"
