Air conditioning was appreciated and the microwave and mini fridge were very useful for all the great leftovers of food from the local restaurants, of which there are plenty and always bussling with customers and great energy; Pinkys Cafe and Bebos Cafe are a mist visit along with Chinchos BBQ for some carne & queso empanadillas or rice & pernil. "I stayed here on my second trip to San Juan. The area is safe and tourist friendly. There are lots of nice restaurants nearby, like Bebo’s. The neighborhood is walkable, just beware of the craters in the sidewalks. This spot is 2 blocks from the beach, close to a pharmacy (convenience store), and it’s easy to catch the bus or an uber on the street too. There were no signs of vermin or insects. There were a few down sides to this stay, with the most glaring being that the pictures on Expedia...

"DO NOT BOOK!! SCAMMERS!! We had a very bad experience in this hotel. We were only able to stay first night. Rooms are super small, no windows. Feels like a jail cell. There is no even closet in the room or a space to put your suitcase. The room was one pf the queen bad rooms. AC was bot working properly, super loud and super low air quality. The water in the shower was not getting warmer. In the morning, they started to work a generator machine and it was like something in room was running. Super loud. When we asked to change room they said only we can upgrade for additional cost. Like all the things not working in our room was our fault? When wanted to leave the hotel they didn’t give us refund for the rest of the nights. This place is a huge SCAM. Zero empathy for people and very poor service of everything. "
