Top Montepulciano Hotel Reviews

Meublé Il Riccio
8/10 Good
"This centuries-old building full of history and characters with modern amenities like elevator and AC is a hidden gem and just steps away from Piazza Grande. The breakfast prepared and served by the madam owner with lovely interaction is the cherry on the cake. Rick Steves stayed here more than once tells you everything."

Palazzo Mosela Alla Porta
10/10 Excellent
"The location of the hotel, just inside the walls, allows guests to experience the old town of Montepulciano whilst still being able to drive close by to drop off luggage. The room was clean and well maintained, both the air-conditioning and wifi worked perfectly even in an old building. There were many restaurants and cafes nearby. Bottles water was replenished each day. Bruno was extremely helpful, being available by message and assisting us with baggage. Bear in mind that this is an old building, there is no lift, so you need to be able to climb several flights of stairs. We were on top floor and had excellent views over the surrounding countryside. Breakfast is at a local cafe where you have a choice of juice, hot drink and snack from the helpful staff. A unique experience!"

Precise Tale Poggio Alla Sala

Villa Svetoni Wine Resort
10/10 Excellent
"An absolutely perfect stay. The resort is intimate with beautiful rooms, a stunning pool where you can watch the sun set under the Tuscan hills. The gardens are fragrant and lovely. Our breakfast was the perfect start to the day. We also loved the wine tasting."

Albergo San Biagio
6/10 Okay
"Amazing check in with super friendly staff and lovely to our family. Booked a superior room but wasn’t sure it was one and then my mistake I forgot to check in reception. Pool was nice and the view from the structure is very nice. Breakfast ok, little variety. AC didn’t work very well Had an issue at midnight where we heard water dripping, waited a while not understanding where it was coming from, told a member staff that it had been going on for an hour and the reply was: hopefully it’s from upstairs, tell reception in the morning.. so we were concerned that we were going to wake up flooded, then realized when the water went off and on again that we could hear that it was the upstairs shower, no problem with that, just that it would have been nice to know what it was. Other than that nice property and stay"

Hotel La Terrazza di Montepulciano
6/10 Okay
"Roberto and Victoria are lovely! So nice, very helpful and breakfast was so nice out in the garden! Roberto can’t do enough for you! Hotel is up around the middle of the town, well located to go up or down and near everything! The room we had was old, crowded and bathroom very tiny, even hard for my husband to fit between the sink and wall to get to the toilet, it’s just that the property is old and not renovated so understandable but because I depend a lot on reviews, I’m telling it like it is. Shower didn’t drain well and there was a stench. No AC as far as we could tell and opening windows not an option due to noise in square at night - depend, depending upon what room you’re in. Also if going to Montepulciano make sure you have a car! Transportation is a nightmare, only a few taxis in town, train station is not close, 7-8kms away, buses run from Chiusi however only 1 on Sundays!"
